To my knowledge, the only 'B' of it's kind, but not the only colorful, psychedelic car the streets have ever seen.
A lot of students painted their second hand cars from the late 60s onwards, following the famous cars the saw on covers, on screen or read about in magazines.

Artists created phenomenal work on bonnets and fender, Tara Browne's AC Cobra was even shown in a galleria in the 60s in London.
Although a MGB isn't a Cobra, it showes that sportscars were also used, no only the VW Bus.
Famous psychedelic cars
The most famous car of them all was probably the Janis Joplin Porsche, but she was be no means the only one. John Lennon's cars, from the small Mini to his Rolls Royce.

TV and Movies have brought up the for example in an episode of I dream of Jeannie.
